Cream Tea - £4.95

Thought to be “invented” in Devon by the monks of Tavistock’s Benedictine Abbey. While restoring the Abbey in 997AD, the monks fed local workers bread, clotted cream and strawberry preserves. The cream teas proved so popular, that the monks continued to serve them to passing travellers. And so, the cream tea was born.

At the Ty Newydd Country Hotel enjoy a relaxing traditional Welsh cream tea a mouth-watering combination of scones, Welsh cakes, Bara Brith, jam and cream served with your choice of tea or coffee.

All the while, enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales, with magnificent views of the Brecons and Neath Valley.
