“Croeso i'r Cymoedd” — Valleys Tourism

Welcome to Our Valleys - Croeso i'r Cymoedd

What The Valleys Mean to Us? First there are the People - friendly with fascinating stories of lives which forged the beginning of modern society. Then a Rich and Varied Heritage - mines and ironworks, castles and terraced houses, manor houses and ancient Bronza Age sites. There are Blue Badge and Green Badge Guides to interpret the history and heritage. Great Activities - cycling and walking the Taff Trail, the largest indoor climbing wall in Europe, great golf courses with fabulous views and the Wales Valleys Walking Festival. There's fresh local produce - chocolate, cheese and whiskey, delicious Welsh lamb and great shopping in busy towns and markets. This is the Land of Song - home to Tom Jones, the Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Male Voice Choirs, Opera Stars and the Full Ponty, a modern music festival in the town where the Welsh National Anthem was written. Now there's diversity. Come and join us to experience what the Valleys could mean to you. There'll be a great welcome.
